STAY WEIRD
For as long as I can remember, I never quite fit into any specific group. I hung out with athletes, band dudes, stoners, and other lunatics. The only common denominator between these people and myself was we all just wanted to do our own thing.
There was a time I wondered why I was never fully adopted into one camp. I had a wild variety of interests including interior design, strength and conditioning, performance, and even weird artistic tendencies to be contrarian.
Now that I’m 38, being an outsider has been great. I don’t want to fit in. I want to stand out. I want to be different. I want to be weird.
Weird for me is simply being a bit unpredictable. I need this level of spontaneity to stay interested in my day-to-day life.
