No matter what you want to accomplish this week, there will always be the possibility of encountering a road block. We can’t control or prepare for every possible situation, it’s impossible… But, that’s why it’s important to focus on what you can control: your effort. The effort you give when it comes to working towards your goals, dreams, and happiness is up to you.
Your effort will determine your outcome, but your success will come from consistency AND effort. That’s it. That’s what it takes. You can have the newest running shoes, the most effective programming, or the best instruction manual, and be willing to put in the time, but if you aren’t willing to settle in and be consistent with your effort, you won’t get very far.
Success doesn’t happen overnight, we all know that. Whatever goals you want to accomplish, physical, mental, internal, or external, they’re likely all going to take time. So learn how to stay consistent with your effort. Work hard today, harder tomorrow, and start on the path that leads you to where you’d like to be in one, five, or even ten years.
Your progress is in your hands. Nothing worth having ever comes easy, but if you continue to show up, you will get better every day.
